Current Inflation Rate 2024 March Forecast. Morgan research forecasts global core inflation will remain sticky at around 3% in 2024. Inflation is projected to increase in the fourth quarter of this year before returning to target by the end of 2025 as cost pressures ease and the impact of past monetary policy decisions. Global headline inflation is expected to fall to 5.8 percent in 2024 and to 4.4 percent in 2025, with the 2025 forecast revised down.
